Myron Pierce, the owner of TC Detail (formerly knows as MJP Detailing) was born and raised in Kennewick, WA. After graduating from Kamiakin High School in 1998 he ventured to the Washington, D.C. area to get a taste of the bigger city. In 2003, he established MJP Detailing, which came out of his passion for cars.
Myron found his passion in vehicles at an early age. Growing up, his father was always collecting and restoring Studebakers. When Myron turned 18, he made his first purchase of a 1973 Dodge Challenger. After going to automotive school at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA, he found that the mechanics of cars didn’t excite him as much as what a car could look like.
Finding his passion and wanting to own a business, he put a business plan together over a three month period and got professional training and certification at Detail King in Pennsylvania.
Word spread of his professionalism and quality of work. A couple of times he was asked to train at the very place he started his training to help new detailing companies get started.
After a couple of years Myron purchased a commercial van, after landing a big account with Mercedes Benz for a car event to show their new models. His crew maintained and detailed 24 of their vehicles during the ride and drive event. (He has done many event for car shows from classics to exotics.) A 2nd van was soon put in place.
In 2016 after a lot of careful thought, Myron wanted to move back to his hometown. Starting over from square one with a drive and passion for business and cars, he once again established MJP Detailing and quickly grew.
He wanted to continue to separate himself from others so he continued to stay updated on new technology and procedures. Seeing a demand for protective paint coatings and paint correction in the Tri-Cities, Myron went to training for certification with Flightshield for high-performance protective paint coatings and advanced paint correction.
Soon after the training and certification, MJP Detailing had explosive growth. In December 2017, he opened up his studio and detail center in West Richland. Wanting to fulfill the dream of being a one stop shop for automotive reconditioning, Myron was a Recon Techs Licensee and now offers ceramic coating and auto detailing, along with the protective paint coatings, PDR, and so much more! With continuing education, he expanded into advanced aviation detailing certification and training.
Myron has also assisted in the animal community. In Virginia, he was an adoption counselor at King Street Cats for 4 years. He is now on the Board of Directors for Pet Overpopulation Prevention (POPP) in West Richland, and on the Operations and Fundraising Committee for POPP, as well.
